Next-Generation 2008 Honda Fit Will be Wider and Longer than the Current Version

Rumors about the next-generation 2008 Honda Fit have been increasing in the last few weeks. Last week Honda announced that the next Honda Fit will debut in Japan this October. Now Winding Road has posted news about a scoop that they received regarding the styling and size of the new car.

Although the Honda Fit has only been in the U.S. since 2006, it has been on sale in Japan since 2001. Six years later the Fit is still one of the best small cars on the market.

The styling of the next Fit will be more of an evolution of the current design. The new design will improve on the current design and packaging. It’s going to be about 2 inches longer and an inch wider than the current version.

The same engines will be offered although they will be slightly improved for better fuel economy.

Honda expects to sell 690,000 Fits worldwide once the new model is launched.
