The Frankfurt Motor Show is almost here. It’s being reported that Lotus is expected to unveil three new models at the show, in addition to the Evora GTE for the European market.

The Lotus Evora GTE was unveiled in Pebble Beach last month. It was originally planned for just the Asian market, but the overwhelming response to the model has prompted the automaker to expand its original plans.

Lotus chief Dany Bahar stated, “The response to this model in China has been so incredible, within days we had sold out with 114 orders. In response we decided that the only logical step from a business perspective was to increase production and widen our reach.”

One of the other models that Lotus is bringing to the show will be the Elise S, which replaces the Elise SC. The Elise S will be powered by a new 200-hp 1.8L engine.

Lotus hasn’t released many details about the other two models that are debuting at the show other than the fact that one will be one of the fastest Lotus’ ever built and the other will likely be an Exige based rally car.
