Mitsubishi is finally making a comeback this year with the new Lancer sedan and Outlook SUV. The new Lancer is so much better than the last generation and buyers have noticed.
The top-level Lancer GTS, which accounts for 60 percent of all Lancer sales is selling faster than dealers can get them in according to Janis Little, spokeswoman for Mitsubishi Motors North America. Mitsubishi originally expected the mid-level ES sedan to be the most popular model.
The U.S. was the first country to receive the all-new Lancer, although many of the GTS dealer orders have been cancelled. Little has no idea when dealers will be able to get more of the GTS models to dealers.
The Lancer has been Mitsubishi’s best selling model so far this year.
