Supposedly these sketches are of the Mitsubishi Lancer Prototype S that the automaker is going to unveil at the Geneva Auto Show in March.
The sketch looks very similar to the Sportback concept, but with a new front end that better aligns it with the rest of the Lancer models. The rear of the car has also been reworked.
When the new Sportback does make it into production you can expect it to come with the same 2.4L 4-cyl in the 2009 Lancer GTS and an EVO version with the 2.0L turbocharged engine. If demand is high enough we may also see a Ralliart version of the Sportback.
