Chrysler has released the first official teaser photos of the upcoming 2013 Dodge Dart compact sedan, which is set to make its debut next month at the Detroit Auto Show.
According to Chrysler the 2013 Dodge Dart fuses “Alfa Romeo DNA and Dodge’s passion for performance.” The Dart is based on the Fiat platform that is the basis for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. Although the Dart borrows its platform from the Giulietta, its been widened and lengthened.
Buyers will have the choice between three four-cylinder engines when the Dart is released: a Tigershark 16-valve 2.0-liter engine, a 16-valve 1.4-liter MultiAir Intercooled Turbo engine, and a new Tigershark 16-valve 2.4-liter MultiAir four cylinder engine. There will also be three transmission choices.
