At the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this month, BMW unveiled the Concept X5 eDrive, which was a plug-in hybrid version of the new X5. The concept was a preview of the upcoming X5 hybrid. BMW has now revealed to Motoring that the production version is in the works, although we don’t know when it will be released.
“We can’t tell you anything about what is the start of production, but we are working on such a concept and we are very far along. But it’s not a part of next year,” stated BMW’s Peter Wolf.
