The first photos of the BMW X4 M40i have leaked online ahead of the model’s official debut. Bimmertoday has got its hands on the first batch of photos of the most powerful version of the X4 crossover, which is scheduled to debut in a few weeks.

On the outside it may be a bit hard to tell the differences, with the only big updates being new trim pieces, different wheels, a dual exhaust pipes. Under the hood the X4 M40i will be powered by a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six cylinder that generates 355-hp and 343 lb-ft. of torque. The X4 M40i will reach 62 mph in 4.9 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph.

It’s rumored that the same engine will power the upcoming M2.
