This morning on his way into work one of our dedicated readers spotted a BMW 1-Series Hatch driving west towards Santa Monica. The car had virtually no camouflage, except for the BMW logo which was blacked out.
I wonder why they are testing this car here, since we are rumored to only get the new coupe and convertible versions of this model. Any ideas?

Also according to CAR magazine, BMW will unveil the production version of the 1-Series coupe on July 1st and that it will make its official public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this November.
