2017 Mazda3 gets refined with standard G-Vectoring Control tech

Mazda is giving the Mazda3 some subtle updates for the 2017 model year, which includes some small styling updates, more content and some interior updates.

Mazda is giving the Mazda3 some subtle updates for the 2017 model year, which includes some small styling updates, more content and some interior updates.

On the outside the 2017 Mazda3 gets a bolder grille, available LED headlights and tail lights, and a redesigned rear bumper on five-door models. Inside perforated black or almond-colored leather seating surfaces are available and the 2017 Mazda3’s steering wheel has been redesigned and now offers a heating option. The interior also gets an electronic parking brake, new door pockets and a sliding covered central console.

On the performance front, the 2017 Mazda3 now comes standard with G-Vectoring Control technology that uses the engine in conjunction with the steering, throttle inputs and suspension to provide sharper chassis control. Mazda’s engineers have also improved NVH damping to give the Mazda3 a quieter interior. Lastly the new Mazda3 also gets Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring and Traffic Sign Recognition as well as a new, full-color Active Driving Display.
