Honda has unveiled the all-new 2017 CR-V, which gets a new exterior, the model’s first turbocharged engine and an upgraded interior.
The fifth-generation 2017 CR-V gets a more aggressive exterior, but its overall shape isn’t a big departure from the current model. It does look a bit sportier thanks to its longer wheelbase, shorter rear overhang, wider front fenders and aggressive stylized headlights.

Under the hood the 2017 CR-V will be offered with its first ever turbocharged engine, a 190-hp 1.5L four-cylinder. The turbocharged engine will be standard on EX and higher trim levels, while the base LX model will be powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.4L four-cylinder. Both engines will be mated to a CVT and Honda says that the turbocharged model will have higher fuel economy specs of any other model in its class. All-wheel drive will also be optional.
Inside the 2017 CR-V’s exterior is larger and more luxurious than before. The materials have also been upgraded and new color TFT driver information interface center meter display has been added. The CR-V will also be available with a 7-inch touchscreen Display Audio interface with Android operating system that now features a physical volume knob as well as an available new Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System developed in cooperation with the experts at Garmin. The CR-V’s Display Audio system is compatible with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto platforms.
The all-new CR-V is going to arrive in showrooms this winter.
