The standard gas-powered 2017 Pacifica can’t fully claim the title as the most fuel efficient minivan, since its highway rating is identical to the Honda Odyssey. The Odyssey also gets one mpg better in the city with a 19 mpg rating vs. the Pacifica’s 18 mpg rating. Of course the Pacifica will nab the most fuel-efficient title, when the specs for the Pacifica plug-in hybrid are announced. It’s rumored that the Pacific plug-in hybrid could have a rating as high as 80 mpge.

The Pacifica is more fuel efficient than the outgoing Town & Country thanks to redesigned 3.6-liter V-6 and the fact that the minivan also weighs 250 pounds less.
