The biggest update to the 2016 G-Class is the new 4.0L twin-turbocharged engine that is based on the new generation of Mercedes-AMG V8 engines. It generates 422 horsepower and 450 lb-ft. of torque, which gives the large SUV a 0-62 mph time of only 5.9 seconds. If you want more power, the 2016 G63 AMG is also getting a power upgrade with its 5.5L V8 getting an extra 27-hp for a total 571 horsepower. The G65 AMG also gets more power from its 12-cylinder engine that now generates 630 horsepower.
