2016 Kia Optima priced at $21,840

Kia has announced the pricing for the all-new 2016 Optima, which will start at $21,840 for the base LX with the 2.4L engine. The 2016 Optima will be offered in five trim levels – LX, LX 1.6T, EX, SX and SXL.

The 2016 Optima comes standard with a Rear Camera Display viewed through the standard five-inch touchscreen on LX, LX 1.6T, and EX, and an eight-inch touchscreen premium navigation system on SX and SXL, Bluetooth hands-free operation, driver’s knee airbag a standard push button start on LX 1.6T, EX, SX and SXL. The base LX is powered by a 185-hp 2.4L engine, while the LX 1.6T is powered by a 1.6L turbocharged engine with 178-hp and 195 lb-ft. of torque that’s mated to a seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. The 1.6L doesn’t bring a huge performance advantage over the 2.4L, but it will be more fuel efficient.

If you want more power, the Optima SX ($29,690) and Optima SXL ($35,790) are powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder that generates 245-hp and 260 lb-ft. of torque.
