2016 Jaguar XE Set to Achieve Over 75 MPG

Jaguar continues to drop the details about the Jaguar XE compact sedan ahead of its debut on September 8. Today Jaguar has revealed more details about the XE’s aluminum construction and claims that it will have a rating over 75 mpg on the European combined cycle.
With lightweight aluminum accounting for 75 percent of the XE’s structure, which will give it an extremely light weight that should beat all of its rivals, like the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class. Thanks to the aluminum construction, the XE will be the most fuel efficient Jaguar yet.

Jaguar also says that the Jaguar XE is the first car in the world make use of a new grade of high strength aluminum called RC 5754. This new alloy features a high level of recycled material and makes a significant contribution to Jaguar’s goal of using 75 percent recycled material by 2020.
