Volvo has released the first interior photos of the 2015 Volvo XC90. Volvo says that the XC90’s interior is the most luxurious Volvo interior ever, with the tablet-like touch screen control console taking center stage.

The 2015 XC90’s interior is virtually button free with an interior that is covered in leather and wood, while the gear lever is made of crystal glass from Orrefors. “Our new interior architecture is pure and uncluttered, while still radiating the sophisticated confidence and formality that luxury SUV customers expect,” said Peter Mertens, Senior Vice President Research and Development of Volvo Cars.

There will be room for up to seven passengers and there will be two different seat options: Comfort or Contour. A new four-zone climate control system allows individual settings for the occupants in the front seats and in the second row with a separate air-conditioning unit for the third row.

In July Volvo is going to unveil the XC90’s chassis and powertrains, while the exterior will be revealed in August.
