2015 BMW X4 Officially Unveiled and Starts at $45,625

BMW has unveiled the 2015 BMW X4 crossover, which is basically a baby X6, but is built on the X3 platform.

BMW continues to roll out new versions of its existing lineup and now it’s created another one. BMW has unveiled the 2015 BMW X4 crossover, which is basically a baby X6, but is built on the X3 platform.

BMW is going to officially unveil the 2015 X4 next month at the New York Auto Show, with production kicking off this spring. Compared to the X3, the X4 is 0.6 inches longer and 1.5 inches lower. It’s coupe-like shape is similar to the X6 and its large front air intakes give it more aggressive face than the X3.

The 2015 X4 will be offered in the same xDrive28i and XDrive35i versions as the X3, which means the base version is powered by a 240-hp 2.0L turbocharged engine, while the xDrive35i gets a 300-hp 3.0L six-cylinder. Both engines are mated to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. The xDrive28i reaches 0-60 mph in six seconds, while the xDrive35i only takes 5.2 seconds to reach the same speed.

BMW has already released the initial pricing for the 2015 X4, which starts at $45,625 for the X4 xDrive28i, while the X4 xDrive35i starts at $48,925.
