Nissan has announced that the limited production 2014 Nissan GT-R Special Edition package with a hand-painted “Midnight Opal” exterior will start at $105,590, which is a $6,000 increase over the GT-R Premium model. Only 50 units will be sent to the US with sales starting in September.
The GT-R Special Edition rides on RAYS forged lightweight wheels with a hyper-titanium colored coating. It also gets a dry carbon fiber rear spoiler and a gold-plated serialized plaque of authenticity located in the engine compartment.
The GT-R Special Edition is based on the GT-R Premium model and is powered by a 3.8L twin turbocharged V6 with 545 horsepower and 463 lb-ft. of torque.
