MINI has announced the pricing for the all-new third generation 2014 MINI Cooper Hardtop, which will start at $19,950 when it arrives in showrooms this spring. The 2014 MINI Cooper was unveiled late last year and arrives with new three and four-cylinder engines, more features and an exterior that is slightly bigger than before.
Compared to the last MINI Cooper, the biggest change you’ll notice is that the 2014 MINI Cooper has grown. It is now 4.5 inches longer, 1.7 inches wider and 0.3 inches higher than its predecessor, giving it an exterior that is no longer “mini.” The larger exterior dimensions do translate to a slightly bigger interior and more cargo capacity.
The 2014 Cooper will be offered with a 134-hp 1.5L three-cylinder and the Cooper S will get a new 189-hp 2.0L. Either engine can be mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
