Following yesterday’s spy shots of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, Jeep has quickly responded by releasing the first photos and details for the Liberty’s replacement. It’s actually quite interesting since the first photos that were sent to Jalopnik were obviously not very flattering photos of a few prototypes in a factory. Of course the new polarizing design raised quite a few responses, most of them not so flattering, so Jeep has responded by releasing the first set of official photos of the new Cherokee.

Although we have these four official photos of the 2014 Cherokee, Jeep hasn’t released any oficial specs. The Cherokee will have its world debut next month at the New York Auto Show. According to Jeep the 2014 Cherokee “sets a new standard with even more best-in-class capability, exemplary on-road driving dynamics, and fuel economy improvements of more than 45 percent versus the outgoing mid-size SUV model.”
