2013 Ford Taurus Gets 32-MPG with the 2.0L EcoBoost 4-Cyl

Ford has announced that the 2013 Ford Taurus with the 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine gets has been certified by the EPA with a 32 MPG highway rating.

Ford has announced that the 2013 Ford Taurus with the 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine gets has been certified by the EPA with a 32 MPG highway rating. The rating gives the Taurus a higher fuel economy rating than the 2012 Chrysler 300, Chevrolet Impala, and Dodge Charger. The 2.0L has a combined fuel economy rating of 26 mpg.

The 2013 Ford Taurus is available with three different engines, the 237-hp 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder, the 290-hp 3.5L V6 and the 365-hp 3.5L EcoBoost V6 in the Taurus SHO. All three engine options for the 2013 model have now been certified at 25 mpg or higher in EPA highway estimates.
“Ford understands people want fuel-efficient vehicles but don’t want to sacrifice power, cargo space or convenience preferences to get them,” said Raj Nair, vice president of Engineering for Global Product Development. “Taurus fuel economy showcases Ford’s success in developing smaller yet more powerful engines for its larger vehicles.”

The 2013 Taurus will arrive this summer.
