Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the next-generation 2012 A-Class will finally be offered in the U.S. It also looks like the final production version will remain close to the concept that we saw in Shanghai. The official patent drawings of the 2012 A-Class have leaked on the internet and are available thanks to Belgian automotive site AutoScoop.be.

If these photos are authentic, the 2012 A-Class will retain many details from the concept, but with a toned down grille and a few other elements being made more production friendly. In addition to this five-door model, a sedan and three-door versions are also expected. We will not be getting the three-door in the U.S.
