We’ve seen several spy photos of Honda’s all-new 2012 CR-V, which is going to go on sale by the end of the year. To give us a preview of what to expect, Honda has unveiled the CR-V Concept.

Honda typically releases concept versions of its all-new models, which are pretty close to the actual production versions. So it’s expected that the 2012 CR-V will look almost identical to the CR-V concept you see here, minus the hue wheels and aggressive kit. Overall the all-new CR-V doesn’t stray too far from the current model’s design, although it does get a rear-end that many critics claim looks like one of Volvo’s designs.

Under the hood it’s expected to maintain the CR-V is expected to still only be powered by a four-cylinder with horsepower ranging from 180-200. The fuel economy of the 2012 CR-V is expected to improve and front-wheel-drive will be standard, with all-wheel-drive being optional. It remains to be seen if the 2012 CR-V will offer a third-row seat to compete with the Toyota RAV-4.

The 2012 Honda CR-V is expected to debut at the LA Auto Show this November.
