Ford plans on using the tagline “The Safest Car in America” for the recently introduced 2008 Ford Taurus. The Ford Taurus and the Mercury Sable received the highest possible crash test scores by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The IIHS awarded both cars with a five star rating and selected them as the “Top Safety Pick” for receiving the highest possible scored in rear, side and frontal collisions.
The new Taurus takes over where the old Ford Five-Hundred left off with a new more powerful engine and styling updates.
