Mercedes-Benz has released another teaser of the EQ A concept that will debut next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This latest teaser provides the clearest look yet at the electric hatchback, which is a preview of one of the future models from the EQ sub-brand.

Mercedes-Benz EQ A concept teased

We’ve seen quite a few teasers of the EQ A concept, but this latest one shows how the new hatchback will directly rival the BMW i3, although the Mercedes EQ A will have a far sleeker exterior. From the front there’s an illuminated grille and badge. The teaser doesn’t give us a look at the concept’s rear, so that will likely have to wait until September 12.

Mercedes-Benz wants to have at least 10 electrified models in its lineup by 2025, but we don’t know when the production version of the EQ A concept will debut. Either way it’s not expected before 2020.

Next week Mercedes-Benz is also going to reveal the fuel cell powered GLC F-Cell and the 1,000 horsepower Mercedes-AMG Project One.
