Mercedes-AMG recently unveiled the 2020 Mercedes-AMG A35, the high-performance version of the new A-Class sedan. Now the brand is getting ready to unveil the hotter version of the new CLA, with the debut of the Mercedes-AMG CLA 35.
Mercedes-Benz has released the first teaser of the CLA 35, which means that we should get to see it soon. With the New York Auto Show just around the corner, there’s a chance that it will debut later this month.
The CLA 35 will be powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 302 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque. The four-cylinder will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all that power will be sent to all four wheels via the 4Matic all-wheel drive system. We can also expect it to get a sportier suspension, bigger brakes and some tweaks to its steering system.
The A35 can reach 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, so we can expect the CLA 35 to return similar numbers. If you want even more power, you’ll want to wait for the CLA 45, which will reportedly arrive with more than 400 horsepower.
