Jaguar is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the XK 120 with the debut of the 2020 Jaguar F-Type Checkered Flag edition. The limited edition F-Type coupe and convertible is based on the R-Dynamic model and is available with either a four- or six-cylinder engine.

The Jaguar F-Type Checkered Flag edition don’t get any performance enhancements, but instead there are several subtle additions to the exterior and interior. On the outside the F-Type Checkered Flag edition gets 20-inch Gloss Black wheels and special badging. The limited-edition F-Type is available in Caldera Red, Fuji White or Carpathian Grey.

Inside there’s unique branding on the headrests, tread plates and a dark brushed aluminum center console finisher. The Ebony Windsor leather seats also get contrast stitching in either Red or Cirrus.

Under the hood the four-cylinder version is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L engine with 296 horsepower, but if you want more power, the supercharged 3.0L V6 versions are available with either 340 or 380 horsepower. All the engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Jaguar has also announced the other upgrades to the 2020 F-Type, which includes revised dampers on the F-Type R coupe and convertible, plus the rear upper ball joint from the SVR. A rear camera and parking sensors are now standard across the lineup.
