Infiniti has a released the first photo of the 2019 Infiniti QX50 crossover, which is going to debut next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2019 QX50 was previewed earlier this year by a concept version and from what we can see here, not much has changed.

At the front the production version stays close to the QX50 concept, although its grille has been slightly tweaked, there are different headlights and the bumper has been restyled. The 2019 QX50’s profile is also almost identical to the concept.

Under the hood the 2019 QX50 will be powered by a new 2.0L four-cylinder engine with variable compression technology that generates 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. of torque. The VC-Turbo engine is the world’s first production-ready variable compression ratio engine. A multi-link system continuously raises or lowers the pistons’ reach to transform the compression ratio. High compression ratios aid efficiency, while low ratios enable greater power and torque.

The four-cylinder will be mated to a CVT and front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions will be offered. The all-wheel drive QX50 can reach 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, while the front-wheel drive version reaches it in 6.7 seconds. The 2019 QX50 is expected to a combined fuel economy rating of 27 mpg, while the all-wheel drive version will be rated at 26 mpg.

The 2019 Infiniti QX50 will also feature ProPILOT Assist technologies help the driver control acceleration, braking and steering during single-lane highway driving.
