Spy photographers have caught a refreshed Hyundai Sonata during hot weather testing. The main changes to the car are the front and rear fascias. The restyled Hyundai Sonata is going to adopt many of the same design cues from the new Santa Fe, Veracruz SUV and the upcoming Genesis sedan.

The rear of the car is heavily camouflaged, so it is hard to determine what the exact changes are, but from the front we can tell that there are new headlights, a reshaped bumper and a new grille.

The interior center console looks like it is going to be updated as well.

There is no word yet on if there are any powertrain changes.

Hyundai probably wants to keep its Sonata fresh to compete against the new 2008 Accord and the recently redone Camry.
