Hyundai has announced the pricing for the 2022 Ioniq 5 electric crossover, which starts at $40,925, including destination. The Ioniq 5 will also be available with two battery pack options, a 58 kWh or 77.4 kWh pack, in addition to single or dual-motor versions.

The base Ioniq 5 SE Standard Range is powered by the 58 kWh battery pack and has a 220 mile driving range. With a base price starting at just over $40k, the Ioniq 5 is priced similarly to the VW ID.4 Pro, but it costs more than the Chevy Bolt. But in base form, the ID.4 Pro and Bolt both have a longer driving range than the Ioniq 5 at 260 miles and 259 miles, respectively.

If you want a longer driving range in the Ioniq 5, you’ll want to step up to the version with the 77.4 kWh battery pack, which can drive up to 303 miles with rear-wheel drive. The dual-motor, all-wheel drive version has a 256 mile driving range. The SE with the bigger battery pack and rear-wheel drive starts at $44,875, while the dual motor version starts at $48,375.

Charging the Ioniq 5 is easy thanks to its 800-volt architecture, which can charge the battery from 10-80 percent in only 18 minutes, using a 350 kW charger.

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is going to go on sale this month.
