2009 Hyundai RWD Coupe Spy Photos…Can Hyundai Actually Compete with BMW?

Spy Photographers have caught what appears to be Hyundai’s new 2009 RWD Coupe in South Korea. It has been reported that the automaker plans on releasing numerous vehicles that will be built on the BH platform. That includes the new Genesis sedan, this coupe and a possible truck.

All “BH” vehicles will use the new Tau V8 that puts out an estimated 300 horsepower.

There is some speculation that the vehicle pictured here instead the new Tiburon. But it is probably not true since a RWD coupe that is designed to go against BMW and Infiniti would have be a hard sell with the Tiburon name.

It is also interesting that the engine in this vehicle is not actually a V8, but a 4-cyl turbo.

Do you think a RWD coupe from Hyundai would be able to compete in the same league as the BMW 3-Series and Infiniti G37?
