Genesis is going to reveal the 2018 Genesis G70 sedan next week on September 15, but two images of the BMW 3 Series rival have shown up.
These two images were posted on Instagram by the_koreanbeast and they appear to be from a photo shoot for the 2018 G70. The two pictures are a bit grainy, but you get an early look at the G70’s sculpted exterior that hides the fact that under the skin, the G70 shares a lot with the Kia Stinger. Genesis also says that the G70 will be the first model to debut the brand’s new design language “athletic elegance.”
The 2018 Genesis G70 will go on sale first in South Korea. U.S. buyers will have to wait until early next year to get the rear-wheel drive sedan, which will offer 2.0L and 3.3L turbocharged engines. The 3.3L G70 may have a little more power than the Kia Stinger,
which has 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque, but Genesis hasn’t announced it yet. Genesis has confirmed that the 3.3L G70 will be able to reach 62 mph in 4.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than the Stinger.
