Ford hasn’t revealed too many details about its upcoming Mach 1 electric crossover, but a new report has revealed some details about the new EV. According to Autocar, the Mach 1 will be a global model that will be based on the same platform as the new Focus.

The Ford Mach 1 electric crossover is expected to debut next year with Mustang-inspired styling, while underneath the skin it will ride on Ford’s C2 platform. Internally the Mach 1 is codenamed CX430 and even though Ford is calling it a crossover, it will probably look more like a slightly raised hatchback, similar to the Focus Active.

When the Mach 1 arrives in 2020, it will have a driving range around 300 miles and be produced in Mexico.

We should have more details soon.
