A new report claims that Fiat Chrysler will officially drop all of its diesel-powered passenger cars by 2022, due to a drop in demand and rising production costs.

According to the Financial Times, the Fiat Chrysler plans to phase out diesel engines across all of its brands. The official plan isn’t expected to be revealed until June 1, according to sources that revealed the details to the Financial Times.

Fiat Chrysler isn’t the only automaker that’s given up on diesels, following Volkswagen’s dieselgate scandal.
