Audi has revealed the updates to the A6 lineup ahead of its debut in Paris next month. You’ll be hard pressed to be able to see the small changes to the exterior, but under the hood there are much bigger updates.

Starting with the exterior, the Singleframe grille, headlights, air inlets, bumpers, side sills, rear lights and tailpipes get a few small styling tweaks, but most people probably won’t see the difference. Audi’s new headlights with the Matrix LED technology are optional.

The interior also doesn’t change much with the biggest updates being new color choices and a faster navigation system that uses a Nvidia Tegra 30 graphics chip.

In Europe the A6 can be powered by a choice of three TFSI with between 190-hp to 333-hp or five TDI engines that range in power from 150-hp to 326-hp. All engines comply with the limits of the Euro 6 emission standard, and their CO2 emissions have been reduced by as much as 22 percent.

Audi says that the top 3.0L TFSI engine has received numerous enhancements as well as the 3.0L TDI diesel engine. The top diesel engine is mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission, while the rest of the engines get either a new six-speed manual or seven-speed S tronic transmission. That means that Audi has thankfully killed the CVT transmission in the A6.

The S6 is powered by a 4.0L TFSI biturbo V8 with 450 horsepower that accelerates the S6 sedan from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

The revised A6 and S6 go on sale in Europe this fall, but Audi has yet to announce what updates the models will receive in the U.S., which will come here as 2016 models.
