According to Autocar, the Audi RS Q8 will become the most powerful Audi ever produced thanks to its hybrid powertrain that’s borrowed from the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. In the Panamera the hybrid system mates a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 to an electric motor for a combined output of 680 horsepower and 626 lb-ft. of torque.

Thanks to its plug-in hybrid powertrain, the RS Q8 will also be able to drive around 27 miles in electric mode, while at the other end of the spectrum the V8 and electric motor should provide some thrilling Sport modes.

It’s expected that the Audi RS Q8 will arrive by late next year.
