Both the Audi A4 and A5 got a refresh for the 2020 model year, but Audi has now announced some additional updates for the 2021 A4 and A5 models. The biggest news is that there’s now more power under the hood.

The base 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in the A4 40 model now generates an additional 13 horsepower thanks to a 12-volt hybrid system, which brings the final power rating to 201 horsepower. The base A4 also now comes standard with quattro all-wheel drive. The 45 model also gets a small horsepower increase to 261-hp.

The 2021 A5 models also get the same horsepower upgrades and the 2021 A5 Sportback is also now available in a new base 40 model.

Wireless Apple CarPlay is now standard on the A4 and A5. The Premium Plus trim now includes adaptive cruise control with active lane assist and a top view camera system, while the convenience package now includes a heated steering wheel and parking sensors. Lastly heated rear seats are now standard on the Prestige trim.

The 2021 A4 40 TFSI starts at $40,095, while the 45 model starts at $41,895. The A5 Sportback 40 TFSI starts at $42,795.
