Aston Martin is celebrating its new production facility that is going to be completed in the first quarter of 2019. The new plant in St. Athan, Wales is the brand’s second facility, but even more exciting is the fact that the plant will be tasked with building a new SUV.
Aston Martin has also confirmed that it will reveal its first SUV, in the last quarter of 2019. The new plant will not only build the new SUV, but also a range of future electric vehicles, including its Lagonda vehicles.
Aston Martin hasn’t announced what the new SUV will be called and is instead still referring to it as the DBX. The DBX name dates back to 2015 when Aston Martin previewed its new SUV with the DBX concept. There have been reports that Aston Martin could end up using the Varekai name for its new SUV, since it recently trademarked the name.
