Volkswagen is going to officially unveil the T-Roc compact crossover on August 23, which is just prior to its debut in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. VW has released this teaser video of the T-Roc, which reveals a few sketches of the T-Roc.

The three minute YouTube video shows off some of the T-Roc’s design details, like its new digital instrument cluster and some of the interior materials. If you look closely you’ll also see full models of the T-Roc in the shots.

The T-Roc will be based on VW’s MQB platform and most likely borrow many parts from the VW Golf. Under the hood there’s a chance that the T-Roc could also be offered with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, since VW has already confirmed that a “Golf-sized” model is going to be the first one to get it.

The T-Roc will likely go on sale later this year in Europe, but it’s not expected to arrive in the United States for at least a year, as a 2019 model.
