2017 VW e-Golf can now travel up to 124 miles

VW, like almost every other automaker is working on an electric car that will be able to beat the 200 mile barrier, but for now VW still has the e-Golf. While the updated 2017 e-Golf won't be able to travel as far as the Chevy Bolt, it has been improved with a battery that gives it a 50 percent longer driving range.

Hyundai will release a 200-mile range Ioniq in 2018

2017 Honda Clarity fuel cell beats every zero-emission vehicle

Honda is getting ready to launch the 2017 Clarity fuel cell vehicle later this year. The EPA has confirmed that the Clarity fuel cell will have a driving range of 366 miles and fuel economy rating of 68 MPGe combined, giving it the best range rating of any electric vehicle without a combustion engine, including fuel cell and all-electric vehicles, in the U.S.

You can now lease a 2017 Toyota Mirai for $349 a month

When the Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle arrived in showrooms late last year, Toyota priced it at $57,500 or you could lease it for $499 a month for 36 months, with $3,649 due at signing. Now Toyota has announced the pricing for the 2017 Mirai, which can now be leased for a easier to swallow $349 a month for 36 months with $2,499 due at signing.

2017 Chevy Bolt EV officially priced at $37,495

Last week Chevy announced that the 2017 Bolt electric car will have an EPA-rated 238 miles of range on a full charge. Now the automaker has announced that the Bolt will start at $37,495 before any of the available federal or state tax credits. Factoring the available $7,500 federal tax credit brings the price of the Bolt down to $29,995.

2017 Chevy Bolt can officially drive 238 miles on a single charge

Chevy is slated to begin production of the much anticipated 2017 Chevy Bolt EV by the end of the year. Chevy has now announced that the Bolt will have an EPA-estimated driving range of 238 miles. Initially Chevy estimated that the Bolt's driving range would be around 200 miles, so now the new estimate gives the Bolt a longer driving range than the base Tesla Model S 60 model.

Chevy is first automaker to sell 100,000 plug-in vehicles

Chevy has announced that it has sold the 100,000th Chevy Volt, making it the first automaker to sell 100,000 plug-in vehicles. According to to the automaker in addition to the 100,000 milestone, Volt owners have driven almost 1.5 billion miles in EV mode of a total 2.5 billion cumulative miles, which means that Volt drivers have saved nearly 58 million gallons of fuel.

2017 BMW i3 can now travel up to 114 miles on a single charge

As expected, BMW is giving the 2017 i3 a battery upgrade, which now means that it can travel up to 50% further than before, which gives it a driving range up to 114 miles. A new version with of the 2017 BMW i3 has a capacity of 33 kWh thanks to the higher energy density of the lithium ion cells, but the best part is that the battery dimensions remain unchanged.
