Aston Martin has revealed the new RapidE concept, which is a preview of the fully-electric Rapide sedan that is scheduled to arrive sometime around 2017.

Aston Martin has revealed the new RapidE concept, which is a preview of the fully-electric Rapide sedan that is scheduled to arrive sometime around 2017.
The concept was developed with Williams Advanced Engineering at its facility in Grove, Oxfordshire. Aston Martin is displaying the concept in support of a creative summit organized by the British government’s successful GREAT campaign to showcase the best of what the UK has to offer and encourage people to visit, do business, invest and study in this country.

“The exciting RapidE concept tangibly demonstrates the capability and ambition of Aston Martin towards developing low- and zero-emission sports cars,” Aston Martin CEO, Dr Andy Palmer stated.

Aston Martin hasn’t revealed any of the performance specs, but Palmer recently revealed that the Rapide electric sedan will have around 800 horsepower with a 200 mile driving range.
