The all-new Porsche Panamera sedan is now finally starting to show up at dealers, a few months behind schedule. The new Panamera sedan continues to only offer seating for four, just like the original, but what if you need to carry a fifth passenger? Well Porsche will soon offer the Panamera Sport Turismo, which is basically a wagon version of the Panamera that does offer seating for five. While the Sport Turismo can carry the extra passenger, Porsche dealers are reportedly pressuring Porsche to make the five-seat option available on the Panamera sedan.

Joe Lawrence, COO of Porsche Cars North America Inc recently revealed that Porsche is aware about the desire for a five-passenger Panamera sedan, but would only state, “we’ll see what the future holds.” He went on about the Panamera sedan, “It’s really taking off, and we’ve got a great order intake on it.”

If you must carry five passengers, then the Panamera Sport Turismo is the more immediate option. It’s also the more versatile option with its greater cargo capacity, but the Panamera Sport Turismo isn’t cheap with a starting price at $97,250 after the $1,050 destination fee.
