Nissan is going to reveal the all-new 2018 Leaf in less than a month, but there have already been so many photo leaks that the debut may end up being a wash. Now we have a leak that reveals the 2018 Leaf’s pricing and possibly some of its powertrain details.

2018 Nissan Leaf undisguised

Autobytel posted a specs sheet that shows that the 2018 Leaf will be powered by a 147-hp electric motor with 236 lb-ft. of torque. If those specs are correct, the new Leaf will have 40 more horsepower and 49 more lb-ft. of torque than the current model. The more important detail is the fact that the new Leaf will feature a 40 kWh battery pack, which is larger than the current 30 kWh pack. Unfortunately we don’t know the Leaf’s driving range yet, although it will likely be less than the Chevy Bolt or Model 3.

In terms of the pricing, the 2018 Leaf will be offered in S, SV, and SL, trim levels. The base S model starts at $29,990, while the SV will be priced at $32,490 and the SL costs $36,200. Those prices are before any state or federal taxes are factored in.
