Winkelmann told Maxim, “I strongly believe that this is not a car that will be in production and we will not do it.”

The main reason that Lamborghini won’t produce the Asterion is because it’s designed as a “hyper-cruiser” that would be fast, but it’s handling would be easily topped by its rivals. As expected the Asterion was mainly meant to showcase Lamborghini’s new plug-in hybrid powertrain, which Winkelmann did say could show up in the upcoming Urus SUV.
