Volkswagen is about to start deliveries of its most “American” model yet, the new three-row Atlas SUV. Volkswagen has announced that pricing for the seven-passenger Atlas will start at $30,500 when it arrives at dealers next month.

The 2018 Atlas will be offered in five trim levels and with two engine options. The base S model is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque. It comes standard with 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, roof rails, LED headlights, a rearview camera and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. If you want to step up to the 3.6-liter VR6 engine with 276-horsepower and 266 lb-ft. of torque, pricing starts at $31,900. A 3.6-liter V6 S AWD model is available for $33,700.

The other trim levels are the: S Launch, SE, SE with Technology, SEL and SEL Premium. There’s also a sportier R-Line package on Atlas SE and SEL trims for $1,960 and you can also check the box for black wheels or captain chairs to replace the second row bench seat.
