A new report claims that Maserati is going to debut its first-ever SUV, the Levante at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show in January. Autovisie claims that the Levante will debut in Detroit, just a few months before production kicks off in March 2016.
The Levante was originally previewed by the Kubang concept that you see here, back in 2011. The styling of the Levante isn’t expected to differ that much from the concept, and underneath the skin the Levante will ride on the same platform as the Quattroporte and Ghibli models. When it launches, the Levante will be powered by a choice of three gasoline engines: a 350-hp V6, 450-hp V6 and a 580-hp V8. Buyers in Europe will also be able to choose a 3.0L V6 turbodiesel.

When the Levante arrives, it will be priced from €90,000 (about $100,000) to €200,000 for the range topping V8.
