Lamborghini has officially taken the wraps off its newest supercar, the 2015 Huracán LP 610-4, which is the successor to the Gallardo. The Huracán takes several styling cues from the Aventador with its wedge shape and sharp edges.
The Huracán has some pretty big shoes to fill, since the Gallardo was the most successful Lamborghini ever with 14,022 units produced in its ten-year lifecycle. The Huracán derives its name from the world of bullfighting. The fighting bull Huracán of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed was known for his outstanding courage and strong sense of attack. He fought in Alicante in August 1879, showing his unrelenting character and remaining defiant and invincible, thus entering into the legend of fighting bulls’ history.

The Huracán is powered by a 5.2L V10 engine with 610 horsepower and 413 lb-ft. of torque that is mated to a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a four-wheel-drive system. It has a top speed of 201 mph and will reach 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds.

The 2015 Huracán’s interior continues the jet-inspired theme of past Lamborghini models and gets a new 12.3-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) screen that displays information from the rev counter to navigation maps and infotainment functions. Fine Nappa leather and Alcantara distinguish the interior, with several color combinations offered to ensure broad individualization options.
