The 2018 Sonata gets completely redesigned front and rear styling. The front is now dominated by a new “cascading grill,” while the rear is highlighted by new slimmer taillights. The Sonata’s new face also gets new LED daytime running lights and LED headlights with dynamic bending capability. The exterior is finished off with new wheel designs. Inside, the center stack and instrument panel have been redesigned with new gauges, piano key buttons and a new steering wheel.

There are some significant updates under the skin too, with an updated rear suspension that uses thicker trailing arms, torsion bar stiffness within the steering system has been increased by 12 percent and the 2.0L turbo engine now has an eight-speed automatic transmission.
