Ford has revealed the pricing for the 2018 Ford Mustang, which will start at $25,585 when it arrives later this year. That price represents a small $400 price increase over the starting price for the 2017 Mustang, but it’s actually a steal, since the base 2018 Mustang is now powered by the more expensive 2.3L EcoBoost engine.
The 2018 Mustang arrives this fall
The old naturally-aspirated 3.7L V6 is done, so now you can only get the turbocharged 310-hp 2.3L four-cylinder or the 460-hp 5.0L V8 in the 2018 Mustang. While the base Mustang may represent a bargain over the 2017 model, the 2018 Mustang GT is getting a hefty price increase with a starting price set at $35,095 – $1,900 higher.
If you want something even hotter, the 2018 Shelby GT350 will start at $57,145 – $1,000 more than the 2017 model year.
Ford also recently announced that the 2018 Mustang GT will be able to reach 60 mph in under four seconds – the quickest any Mustang GT yet. If you choose the EcoBoost-powered Mustang it can reach 60 mph in under five seconds.
