Earlier this month BMW took the wraps off the 2015 BMW 2-Series Active Tourer five-door hatchback, which is the first of many front-wheel-drive BMW's in the works. Mercedes-Benz has seen tremendous success with the introduction of the new CLA and now Audi is hoping that it can see similar results with the new 2015 A3 sedan. BMW has announced that the first ever diesel powered 7-Series is going to arrive in the spring. The 2014 BMW 740Ld xDrive is powered by a 3.0L six-cylinder diesel engine with 255 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW expects it to be between 25-30 percent more fuel efficient than its 3.0L gas engine.

The results of the 2014 Dakar Rally are in and this year MINI can celebrate because it walked away with the top three finishers in the race. Joan "Nani" Roma finished the race in 50 hours, 44 minutes and 48 seconds, which was just 5:32 minutes in front of his teammate Stéphane Peterhanselin the black MINI ALL4 Racing. Nasser Al-Attiyah in the predominantly white MINI ALL4 Racing finished 3rd.
