GM has announced that 2014 Chevy, Buick and GMC models will now come with a new two year/ 24k mile maintenance program that includes free scheduled service. For most 2014 vehicles, Chevy, Buick and GMC dealers will complete an oil and filter change, four-wheel tire rotation, and conduct a 27-point vehicle inspection based on what's called for in the vehicle owner's manual maintenance schedule and oil life monitoring system.

GM has announced that the all-new 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray has been SAE certified at 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque with the available performance exhaust system. The Stingray is SAE-certified at 455 horsepower and 460 lb-ft with the standard exhaust system. They are the highest standard power ratings ever for the Corvette and GM expects it to also get 26 mpg on the highway.

GM has unveiled the new 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country, which will join the LTZ and Z71 models in the Silverado lineup this fall. The 2014 Chevy Spark EV now sits at the top of the retail electric vehicle segment with an EPA-estimated 119 MPGe rating. The Spark EV also has a combined driving range of 82 miles on a full charge. The 2014 Spark EV will also reach 0-60 mph in under eight seconds thanks to its electric motor that generates 130 horsepower and 400 lb-ft. of torque.

GM has announced that the 2014 Chevy Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel has been rated at 46 mpg on the highway, giving it the highest highway rating of any non-hybrid passenger car in the US. The Cruze Diesel is powered by a 2.0L turbo-diesel engine with 148 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque that accelerates the sedan from 0-60 mph in 8.6 seconds. It also has an overboost feature that increases the engine's torque to 280 lb-ft. for short bursts. The Cruze Diesel gets 4 mpg better on the highway than the gas-powered Cruze Eco.

GM has officially unveiled the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray convertible in Geneva. The Corvette Stingray convertible gets the same 450-hp 6.2L V8 as the coupe and its electric soft top can be lowered remotely using the car's key fob. The top can also be opened or closed on the go, at speeds of up to 30 mph.

GM is employing a new lightweight "smart material" on the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray, which helps it drop 99 pounds compared to the outgoing Corvette. The 2014 Corvette is the first vehicle to use a GM's new lightweight shape memory alloy wire in place of a heavier motorized actuator to open and close the hatch vent that releases air from the trunk. This allows the trunk lid to close more easily than on the previous models where trapped air could make the lid harder to close.

The Baltimore Ravens took home the win last night at Super Bowl XLVII and Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Joe Flacco received the MVP award. Chevy was the official sponsor of the Super Bowl XLVII MVP Award and presented Flacco with the keys to a 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray. The honor of awarding the Super Bowl XLVII MVP Award was given to Rick Flick of New Orleans' Banner Chevrolet, who knows a thing or two about comebacks. Banner Chevrolet, a part of Flick's family for 40 years, was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina and was the first business to reopen in New Orleans East after the devastating 2005 storm. Flick presented quarterback Joe Flacco with a 2014 Corvette Stingray today in recognition of his effort in leading the Baltimore Ravens' to a 34-31 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.

It's been a while since GM has released any info about the upcoming Chevy Cruze diesel, but according to GM Authority, GM will debut the 2014 Cruze diesel at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show next month. The Cruze diesel will officially be called the Eco-D and is expected to get a 2.0L diesel engine. GM hasn't announced the performance specs, but its engineers have set a goal of being able to travel 700 miles on the highway between fillups.
