We're now less than a month away from the debut of the all-new 2016 Chevy Camaro, which is going to take place on Saturday, May 16, during a special public event at Detroit's Belle Isle Park. General Motors has reportedly decided to keep the "Bolt" name for its upcoming compact electric car, despite the apparent Volt confusion. Back in February, GM acknowledged that there could be some potential confusion for buyers, since the Bolt and Volt names are so close, but after conducting two studies, GM has decided to keep it.

Chevy has unveiled new Custom Sport editions of the Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD that adds a monochromatic look to the pickups. Silverado Custom Sport HDs feature body-colored front and rear bumpers, a body-colored grille with chrome-accent bars, chrome door handles and body-side moldings, and chrome-accented trailering mirrors.

We're still about a month and a half away until Chevrolet takes the wraps of the all-new 2016 Camaro, but the automaker has just revealed that the new Camaro will be lighter than the current model. To improve the 2016 Camaro's handling, acceleration and fuel economy, the engineering team was able to reduce the Camaro's weight by 200 pounds compared to the current model.

Chevy has announced that it will reveal a refreshed 2016 Chevy Equinox SUV next week at the Chicago Auto Show. This teaser photo reveals that the 2016 Equinox is going to get a new front bumper and restyled headlights. There also appears to be some new body cladding and updated alloy wheels.
Even though the Equinox is about to get a refresh, Chevy is quick to point out that sales of the Equinox continue to grow. In January sales of the Equinox rose 34 percent compared to January 2014.
"In one of the industry's most competitive segments, the Equinox continues to win customers with its value-driven balance of performance, versatility and personal connectivity," said GM North America President Alan Batey. Could GM be working on a crossover version of the Volt? Back in 2011 General Motors filed a trademark application for the "Crossvolt" name, but then in November of this year that trademark expired.
